Learning Together

In January 2010, leaders of integrated education in both Northern Ireland and Jerusalem came together in a unique exchange when Ala Khatib and Dalia Peretz, the Jewish and Arab co-principals of the Max Rayne Hand in Hand School, Jerusalem, visited Northern Ireland.

Northern Visions invited everyone into the studio to discuss the challenges of integrated education both here and in Jerusalem and to find out more about the Hand in Hand School where children are taught through both Hebrew and Arabic. The children are witnesses to at least two points of view and dialogue in the classroom, presented by the two teachers in every class.
